....Still, the volume of IPOs is far from bubblicious. Even if every quarter of 2024 saw 30 new companies come to market, that would put the year’s total at 120—a big uptick from the past two years but a far cry from the frothy 476 seen in 1999, and even the 311 in 2021. “It’s not just first-day performance, but also the volume of issuance that matters when it comes to characterizing an IPO market as indicative of a wider equity market bubble,” Rabe explains. “We don’t yet have the volume of IPOs to indicate a bubble"....
