Excerpt from the Wall Street Journal quoting DataTrek co-founder Jessica Rabe:

.... "The stock market's lows of June 2022 might not turn out to be the year's lows, of course. Some data from DataTrek highlight the risk.

Out of the last 64 years, according to DataTrek, the S&P 500 has ended the year lower 13 times, down an average of 12.7%.

In all 13 down years since 1958, the S&P 500 hit its low in June only one other time. All the other lows came in September or the fourth quarter.

The index fell in the third quarter 77% of the time, dropping an average of 7.6%. It's up 3.9% in the third quarter so far"....
