WSJ: “The Nasdaq Has Crushed ARKK Since 2019”

.... "Cathie Wood's ARK Innovation exchange-traded fund raced past the markets in 2020 and the start of 2021.
It hasn't done as well since. In fact, going back to the start of 2019, the Nasdaq Composite has risen 74%, while the ARK Innovation ETF is only up 20%.
DataTrek Research cofounder Jessica Rabe says the ETF's rise and fall shows just how volatile investments in more speculative technology companies can be over time.
"When speculative tech names work, they perform fantastically well," Ms. Rabe said in a note. "But they did so during a very unique period of time with favorable conditions from a greater reliance on technology to accommodative fiscal and monetary policy"....
