.... "Taking stock at the 10-year anniversary of the S&P 500’s crisis-induced nadir, emerging-market stocks are still lagging behind their competitors and haven’t returned to their 2007 highs, according to DataTrek Research.
Nicholas Colas, co-founder of the research firm, described the comparative underperformance of international stocks a “real shocker,” given that the S&P 500 hasn’t just recovered its lows but produced a parade of all-time highs over the past decade.
And while the past may not indicate future performance, it certainly gives us a reason to reflect on ideas like diversification"....
